Movie Synopsis

The story of the Animal movie revolves around the character Balbir Singh. He is a rich industrialist but does not have enough time for his family. His son Ranvijay loves him to the core and considers him his superhero. But as he grew up, the differences between the father and the son developed. Ranvijay is sent to boarding school, and years later, when he returns to celebrate the 60th birthday of Balbir (Ranvijay’s father), he is asked to leave the house. While leaving, he is surprised to see Gitanjali (his love interest), who has broken her engagement and wants to be with him. They both get married in a private ceremony and shift to the US. Eight years later, Balbir is attacked by unknown assailants but survives. Ranvijay returns with Gitanjali and his kids to be with his family and starts a war with the people who tried to assassinate Balbir.

Story

In the movie Animal, Ranvijay Singh, nicknamed Vijay, is a young man who has a strong love for his wealthy father, Balbir Singh. Balbir heads Swastik Steels, a major steel company, and his family includes Vijay, Reet, and Roop. In 1996, Vijay leaves his family to attend a boarding school in the US, where he threatens his sister Reet’s bullies with an AK-47. Vijay argues that Balbir cannot protect his own sister in college and that he must step up to protect his own sister.

Vijay returns home after years, where he meets Karthik, his friend, and Geetanjali, who is getting engaged. Vijay tells Geetanjali that he has feelings for her, and after their marriage, they move to the USA. They return after eight years to find Balbir is shot by assassins. Vijay takes the responsibility to uncover the assassin’s identity and gathers his cousins from Dalbir’s family for backup. In the events ahead, Vijay recruits a bodydouble for his father, who is killed by Asrar Haque, the assassin. He discovers Varun’s role in the assassination attempt and murders him publicly at a conference where Asrar is also present. Vijay meets an arms dealer Freddy Wilfred Patil, who helps the brothers fight Asrar and his army. Vijay kills Asrar but is severely wounded and bedridden for two weeks. He undergoes a heart transplant for his failing heart and vows revenge against him.

After all of this, Vijay learns the family story of rivalry from his grandfather, Rajdheer Singh, that Abrar and his brothers are Vijay’s second cousins. Abrar, who witnessed his grandfather’s suicide, has relocated to Scotland and has been plotting against Balbir to seek vengeance for his family. Then Vijay, along with his cousins, tries to stop Abrar as he is about to escape the country in a private jet with his other brother Abid. Vijay kills Abrar in a violent duel on the runway. Towards the end of the movie Animal, Balbir reveals his terminal illness to Vijay and realizes that his lack of love for his son has always been the root cause of Vijay’s aggression. Balbir apologizes to Vijay, and the two reconcile. 

In the post-credits, Aziz, who is the youngest of the Haque brothers and an infamous assassin in Istanbul, undergoes plastic surgery to resemble Vijay, hinting at a sequel to the movie.
