Story of Laapataa Ladies

It is a comedy-drama genre released in Hindi language. The story starts with a train journey. Deepak and his newlywed wife are traveling by train to his home. Upon reaching the destination, Deepak and his family realize that his wife has been exchanged. The scene is that the train they took was overcrowded and filled with many other newlywed couples. So, it is right for them to think that Deepak’s wife got exchanged.

The story proceeds with various attempts by Deepak to find his wife. In his attempts, he even files a Police report and makes many efforts, which creates funny situations. The audience in the theaters found it funny, but the plot of the story seemed unrealistic and unrelatable.
